Summer Fun!
Today was officially the last day of summer! (Boo-Hoo) We have had such a great summer and have stayed very busy. The closets did not get cleaned, the scrapbook did not get finished and I did not sew one thing for AnnaKate but we had so much fun! We went to Washington to visit Holly and Jackson, we went to the beach, we went to the mountains, we had play dates, we went swimming and we walked almost every day with Taylor and Cassie. It was great to get out each day and exercise as well as get some time to talk with Cassie. The kids really enjoyed the "smorgasbord" of treats we provided to keep them happy! Even though the summer is over, I know the four of us will still be headed out each day for some girl talk, exercise and snacks!

Billy and I married in 1998 after dating for 6 years. In 2006 we adopted AnnaKate. We were lucky enough to meet her birth mother and take her home from the hospital. At about 4 months old, AnnaKate was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. Through all of AnnaKate's struggles and delays she surprises and delights us daily! Thanks for marking this spot and coming back often to check in on us.

Is summer over already? I feel like it just began. Now the best walking weather is about to come- FALL!! I'll have to start thinking of some new treats for brisk fall walks!

It's hard to believe it's that time...although I'm already excited for fall! You might not have gotten the "list" done but you did do all the important stuff, like spend time with family and friends.
Brenda has told me how much walking you have been doing...good for you!! Why, oh why, can't I get my fat butt out there and walk like you?!? :) Oh well...I'll start on Monday (I think I said that last Monday).
