Wordless Wednesday

** A few words needed for this post. AnnaKate's teachers emailed me these pictures today. The email read..."This is what we do with your child at preschool." Why is the precious child beside her so clean????

Spring in the south

Angie made a comment on my blog recently about how beautiful the flowers are here. There really is nothing like springtime in the south. Gorgeous blooms are everywhere...if we only did not have to deal with the pollen! :)

What does it look like where you live?

This and That...

Thanks for all your prayers for Billy. After a difficult time with the anesthesia (terrible headache and nausea) he is recovering well. He goes back to the doctor tomorrow and we will know more then about how the infection is healing.

We had a wonderful Easter. I got some great pictures of our sweet girl.

Today we had the Special Olympics. Our community just started the Young Athlete's Program which includes kids as young as 2. It was neat for AnnaKate to play a part in these fabulous games so early in her "Olympic career". :)

All for now...I am exhausted!

Daddy Billy

I posted this weekend that billy had to go to the emergency room before AnnaKate's party on Saturday for an infection in his knee. Please pray for him as the infection has worsened and he will be having surgery tomorrow to have it drained and the infection cleaned out. I don't like to see Billy in all this pain. Pray that the doctor's can stop the infection so he can start healing.

Happy Birthday AnnaKate!!!!

AnnaKate's third birthday was Saturday. It is hard to believe that three years ago we brought this special angel home from the hospital. We can't even imagine our life without her now. We feel so lucky to have her in our lives.

I just love birthdays and have been planning this one for a while now. We were able to celebrate with lots of family and friends and the day was just beautiful.

I just love a good theme. The theme of daisies all started with just the right invitation.

"Spring's sweetest bloom is turning three!"And...just the right outfit!

I made the birthday banner for the mantel to also match the daisy theme.
These are fun for any party!!
I love these fabric pennant banners...so of course I had to make one to match the theme!

A daisy on the front door and daisies in the window box.
The azaleas are always so pretty right around AnnaKate's birthday.

I love making AnnaKate's birthday cakes. My mom always helps and we have lots of fun doing it. Fondant makes great decorations but the taste of it is not so great. This year I made my own fondant and I think it tasted much better and was very easy to work with.

Sweet cupcakes with daisies.

Daisy cookie favors
Now to the party!

We had a little mishap the day of the party. Billy woke up the night before the party with a high fever, body aches and a swollen knee. He went to the doctor and then was sent to the emergency room. He had cellulitis on his knee. A small cut on his knee was infected with the normal strep bacteria that is always on our skin. It is actually very serious. They caught it in time and gave him a shot of antibiotics and some oral meds. He made it home just in time for the party.

AnnaKate got so many wonderful gifts.
AnnaKate's birthday was such a wonderful day. It meant so much to us to have all our family and friends come and celebrate "Spring's sweetest bloom"!

Now...what will the theme be for next year??? Any ideas??

Rubber Ducky----you're the one!

I have lots that I have wanted to blog about lately, but I have been so busy. Spring break is here and I am ready to catch up on my blog reading (sorry if I have not commented on your blog lately) and blog posting.

My "Aunt B" brought AnnaKate her Easter basket today. Aunt B's Easter baskets are always the best! AnnaKate loved all the treats but she really loved the necklaces, the crazy pop up rabbit and the rubber ducky. I loved the felt chocolate bunny rabbit. No calories in that one! This rubber ducky is so neat. It squirts water out of it's head. She just could not get enough of it in the tub tonight. She actually cried because she did not want to get out.

Are you ready for the Easter Bunny to come to your house?
