Angie made a comment on my blog recently about how beautiful the flowers are here. There really is nothing like springtime in the south. Gorgeous blooms are everywhere...if we only did not have to deal with the pollen! :)
What does it look like where you live?
We had a wonderful Easter. I got some great pictures of our sweet girl.
Today we had the Special Olympics. Our community just started the Young Athlete's Program which includes kids as young as 2. It was neat for AnnaKate to play a part in these fabulous games so early in her "Olympic career". :)
All for now...I am exhausted!

I posted this weekend that billy had to go to the emergency room before AnnaKate's party on Saturday for an infection in his knee. Please pray for him as the infection has worsened and he will be having surgery tomorrow to have it drained and the infection cleaned out. I don't like to see Billy in all this pain. Pray that the doctor's can stop the infection so he can start healing.

Billy and I married in 1998 after dating for 6 years. In 2006 we adopted AnnaKate. We were lucky enough to meet her birth mother and take her home from the hospital. At about 4 months old, AnnaKate was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. Through all of AnnaKate's struggles and delays she surprises and delights us daily! Thanks for marking this spot and coming back often to check in on us.
