Little Helper

AnnaKate loves to help! As we vacuumed and mopped the house today she was right underfoot wanting to do it all. Every night she pulls up a chair and helps me cook dinner. I love it that she is interested in what we are doing. Her Lou-Lou gave her a cute apron today so I had to put on my apron as we cooked. She thought that was pretty funny!

I chopped the sweet potatoes and she put them on the pan.

She is so proud of her work...she gave herself a round of applause!

Stirring it up!Billy was outside grilling and AnnaKate made her way out to help. When she saw he was sweeping she had to come in and get her broom.

How proud does she look?

I am so proud of all that AnnaKate is doing. She is learning and growing so much everyday!

Great pictures! What a sweet little helper. I get Sam on the step stool as well when I cook and he loves to help along. Now if I could just get my messy dude to sweep too...!

I love the bond between the two of you - real mother daughter closeness. It is a different to the type of closeness I have with my little boy.

AK looks like she is learning and doing so much BIG GIRL stuff. How fun for you both.

So cute, and such a good helper! I don't let Natalie stand on a chair because of her wobbliness...I'll have to give it a second thought after seeing how well AK does.

I'm just reading your blog for the first time (and love it) which is why I'm posting from something aways back.

I saw you had AnnaKate up on a chair, and I have to recommend to you the Learning Tower. You can google it. It's a great way for kids to join you at the counter that is super safe and sturdy. I picked mine up used (they are a bit pricey). But just love it and so does my 2.5 year old daughter. Just passing along some info...
