Here we go...

Ok---I have debated it for too long. To blog or not to blog!! Obviously, I have decided that am ready to try my hand at it. I read lots of blogs and I have found that there are many types. First you have the "I want to share pictures and family updates" blogs, then you have the "artist's outlet" blogs and then you have the "inspiring journal" blogs. I really don't know what this one is going to be-maybe a little bit of all.
I have spent lots of time reading some very inspiring blogs lately (also some uninspiring but fun ones as well... more on those later.) One blog that was forwarded to me by AnnaKate's wonderful speech therapist, Melissa, has really made me decide to begin blogging. It is, A New Kind of Normal. This wonderful family gave birth to a son with Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome in September. A New Kind of Normal really touched me because some of her words and thoughts are mine. She has really touched me and in turn it has made me realize that a blog is way for you to reach out to people you may have never had contact with. (That is also another reason why I have not wanted to blog...again that will be another post.) I want people who are looking for more information on RTS to see that it is not a scary textbook syndrome that happeneds to other people. It is just, "A New Kind of Normal."
