Last weekend we went to the mountains with my parents and grandparents. We had a great time and ate way too much. Billy and I celebrated our 11th anniversary on Saturday at a wonderful spot in Black Mountain, The Cellar Door. I highly recommend it. Even though this years anniversary trip was much different from last year, we enjoyed it all the same.
Some great Rumikub games. Check out that view!
We decided to check out a new hiking trail that was cut to a waterfall. Billy really tested his endurance carrying AnnaKate. It was a mile straight down to the waterfall and then of course, a mile straight up. Not to mention the mile to the trail and back.
A sweaty family portrait.
This week AnnaKate had an eye appointment and everything looked good. Her nystagmus was cleared and he still thinks she is slightly near sited. No need for glass at this time....whew!
We are headed for the sleep study on Friday and then our Mommy-Daughter trip to see Holly and the boys. Then the real world of schedules and work will consume us again. But that means that fall is just around the corner. :)
**Jessica, Alex's mom, my friend for life, Florida buddy, etc.... is pregnant with baby number 4. We are hosting a blog baby shower for her. Go check it out!

Happy Anniversary! 11, that's great! Wish I'd met Billy, he must be a hero to have captured your heart. Let me know about the sleep study. And we love the mtns too, Mom and Dad have a place in Highlands and we were just there...it's heaven. I could/would move there in a heartbeat. S-l-o-w-e-r living is the life for me...
love you,

I have been waiting and waiting to see some pictures and hear about you!
I love the picture of AK sleeping on her daddys back.
Is it better to know what the sleep study will entail? Can you sneak in a ambien for you? We can't wait to see you!
I love the hiking pictures! AK sleeping is just so sweet!
Happy Anniversary too! It's hard to believe that it is almost time for you to get back to "normal." It's too soon.
P.S. I hope to see you in a few days!
Happy Anniversary! I love the sweaty family picture...I have so many pics with Natalie looking down just like AK.
Happy Anniversary Kelly and Billy!
I always love your pictures but my favourite is the sweaty family picture and Ak with her beautiful bow. I love that bow! It reminds me of many high school camping trips where the popular girls (I was not one of them for the record) would bring their curling irons and makeup.
Looks like lots of fun.. I also love the sweaty family picture. good to hear from you again. Take care,
