We went to my parent’s mountain home over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Let’s look at that picture a little closer…
AnnaKate LOVES her dog and her TT (grandmother).
They have some amazing blueberry bushes so we spent some time picking. I think about 3 gallons was harvested! (Not a lot of help from the wee one…she either ate them, spilled them or picked the green ones!)

AnnaKate helped Billy with some projects. She loves to help.

AnnaKate also slept in the big girl bed instead of the pack and play! Wow…
Saturday night my mom treated us to a great summer meal…Billy helped with the grilling.
Tomato Pie, Fried squash, Fresh corn and grilled sausage
Oh…and for dessert…delicious peach and blueberry cobbler.
What a weekend!
Billy and I married in 1998 after dating for 6 years. In 2006 we adopted AnnaKate. We were lucky enough to meet her birth mother and take her home from the hospital. At about 4 months old, AnnaKate was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. Through all of AnnaKate's struggles and delays she surprises and delights us daily! I love it! AK is so precious and that meal...YUM! That's what I wish I was having for supper tonight!
It always looks like such an amazing time when you go to the mountains. I'm jealous of the blueberries- birds ate our few that we had this year! Beau is too cute!
There is nothing better than some good mountain time..I wish we had a place like this to go! It looks awesome!
