Sometimes I worry about AnnaKate. I worry about her future. I worry about her cognitive abilities. I worry about how she will be accepted. I worry if she is reaching her potential.
Then I step back... and look at the world the way she does.
I am a wife, mom, teacher, crafter, runner, friend and scrapbooker. Our blog is a way of connecting to others and sharing our journey.
Billy and I married in 1998 after dating for 6 years. In 2006 we adopted AnnaKate. We were lucky enough to meet her birth mother and take her home from the hospital. At about 4 months old, AnnaKate was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. Through all of AnnaKate's struggles and delays she surprises and delights us daily! Thanks for marking this spot and coming back often to check in on us.

Ditto!
I love her and her innocence as well. What an amazing, sweet, loving child you have!

I wish we could save that innocence forever. Honestly, they lose it far too early....
