AnnaKate is WALKING!!!
She has been walking great with one hand held and even with us only holding her clothes but today she was able to walk between Billy and me. She will go about 4-7 steps. When she gets to us she squeals with delight and gives a huge hug. She definitely knows what she is doing and is so proud! And by the way...so are we!!
She still has a ways to go before she is truly walking independently, but today is a big day!
*I wish I was able to get a better video but it is hard to catch the moment when you are trying to catch her! :)

Billy and I married in 1998 after dating for 6 years. In 2006 we adopted AnnaKate. We were lucky enough to meet her birth mother and take her home from the hospital. At about 4 months old, AnnaKate was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. Through all of AnnaKate's struggles and delays she surprises and delights us daily! Ahhhhhhhh! I am so excited!! Way to go AnnaKate. You and Taylor are going to be chasing each other around this summer. I can hardly wait. We miss you guys. You would never believe that we live across the street from each other because we haven't seen each other or caught up on life's happenings in forever. Spring is almost here. We won't be like hermits for much longer!

My computer worked this time and let me watch the video. In fact, I watched it over and over and over again. I can't wait to see her walk in person.

YIPEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll never forget the day Austin walked 7 steps across the room. How exciting!! Now she can start exploring from a whole new level all on her own! Don't you just want to take a whole page ad in the newspaper and tell everyone?!?
